I am looking forward to witnessing a society that believed and believes in repair. I have always wanted to believe in a better world. The idea that a nation was able to experience a culture shift that fostered the ability to believe in reconciliation among its people is deeply galvanizing. I want to learn how trust and good faith among neighbors became possible. I want to be open to seeing and unlearning the parts of me that perpetuate a culture of mistrust and disbelief in my neighbor’s ability and desire to repair.
