Support Our Work
Your donations assist our student’s travel to Rwanda, place our programming into schools and communities with budgetary obstacles, and support our annual Social Justice Festival. Donations never fund administrative costs.
How We’ve Made A Difference
The Anne Frank Project has achieved significant impact by leveraging the power of stories. Here’s a snapshot of our achievements:
Buffalo State University:
Over 1,000 students trained in story-based learning
Over 200 Faculty/Staff trained in story-based learning
Over 50,000 students have attended and participated in AFP’s annual social justice festivals over the past 17 years
Over 200 students have travelled to Rwanda with AFP
Over 250 students are ‘published’ as the original creators of AFP’s touring play
Buffalo, New York:
Over 50,000 high school/middle students have witnessed AFP’s original touring plays in Buffalo schools.
Over 300 Buffalo teachers have been trained in story-based learning
20 teachers and school counselors have been trained in Sophia’s Legacy
Over 150 businesses, government and community organizations have brought AFP’s story-based work into their workplaces
Over 200 local organizations have experienced AFP workshops and seminars
AFP has developed the International Sister City Partnership between Buffalo, New York and Muhanga, Rwanda.
AFP works through the year with Buffalo’s Rwanda Community providing support, facilities, and programming
International:
AFP has been travelling with students to Rwanda for over 15 years
AFP has significant partnerships in Rwanda including the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, Ministry of Education, District of Muhanga, Urukundo Learning Center, Global Engagement Institute
AFP has significant partnerships in Kenya including Brackenhurst Center, Naboisho Conservancy Massai Mara, Woodland Star International School, EduAfrica
AFP has been invited to speak at several events specific to Rwanda including Brazil, Canada, DR Congo, South Africa, and Vietnam.
AFP plans to expand our international student trips to include Vietnam in 2027.
National:
AFP has presented at over 95 conferences and retreats
AFP has consulted with several U.S. universities interested in bringing social justice, story-based programming, and global education to their campuses.
AFP has been invited to speak at many prestigious events and locations including the United Nations, United States Capitol, Rwanda Embassy and Genocide Watch.
AFP works with Rwanda communities around the United States including New York, Texas, Illinois, California, Indiana, and Ohio.
