Story-Building Partnership with Venture Forthe

The Anne Frank Project officially launched and completed a new partnership with Venture Forthe, an organization that provides services and social programs for individuals living with traumatic brain injuries. Teaching Artists Cynthia Pegado, Jeannine Giffear, and Kayla Innocent led Venture Forthe attendees and staff through through Story-Based Learning and somatic awareness exercises.

With good humor, the wholehearted participants bravely met the challenge of the simple-but-not-easy story-building work. The 8-week workshop was culminated with the Village’s informal story presentation of a short play to showcase to the staff members, families, and loved ones on March 27, 2024.

The theme that was created by Venture Forthe was “Working through Hardships Bring us Together”. Their theme was very well represented, and the participants showed grace, hard work, resilience, and leadership throughout the performance. Everyone had a great time, and the audience left feeling inspired for what to come next. Thank you Venture Forthe for having us. We are extremely grateful to be apart of your village. Until next time.
